If you are 70-1/2 years old or older, you can take advantage of a simple way to benefit Transformation Through Education and receive tax benefits in return. Donors may choose to give an amount per year directly to a qualified charity from their IRA and the donation is tax-exempt. This popular fit option is commonly called the IRA charitable rollover, but you may also see it referred to as a qualified charitable distribution (QCD). Consult your tax advisor for amount limits and details on how this option may benefit you.

This ensures timely processing and acknowledgment of your gift.
Transformation Through Education Policies:
When stocks/securities are donated, Transformation Through Education’s brokerage firm (Fidelity Investments) liquidates the securities, sends the proceeds electronically to Transformation Through Education’s account, and provides a trade confirmation to Transformation Through Education. Acknowledgement of the gift will be sent to the donor by Transformation Through Education, not by Fidelity Investments.
At this time, Transformation Through Education does not accept gifts of Cryptocurrency.
Donor pledges assist Transformation Through Education in forecasting income for school operating expenses, expansion construction costs, and student scholarships. Please consider paying pledges on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis. Year to date pledge statements will be mailed to donors during the month of October.

We are frequently asked if pledges are legally binding?
No. Your pledge is an intention, made in good faith, to give a certain amount. You are under no legal obligation to fulfill your pledge. We hope you will make every effort to complete your pledge, but it’s up to you to decide whether you initial commitment is still right for you. Annual pledge statements are mailed in January.
Donors using Transformation Through Educations online e-giving platform will receive a gift receipt confirmation by the online giving portal. Gifts of $250 or more will also receive a gift acknowledgement via email (if email address is provided) or USPS mail.
If you believe there is an error in your gift acknowledgement letter, please contact
TTEMalawi.Admin@gmail.com so we can provide you with a proper and correct receipt for your gift.
Contribution statements for income tax purposes are mailed in January to all donors who made a one-time gift or recurring gifts totally $250.00 or more to Transformation Through Education. If you made a one-time gift, your initial gift acknowledgment letter may also serve as your receipt. If you believe there is an error in your gift acknowledgement letter or contribution statement, please contact TTEMalawi.Admin@gmail.com so we can provide you with a proper and correct tax receipt of your gift.
